With a mix of gratitude and sadness, we announce the upcoming retirement of our esteemed President and CEO, Libby Gierach, who has dedicated 34 years to advancing the reputation of our chamber and our entire business community. Her unwavering commitment and tireless efforts have left an indelible mark on our businesses and community, and she will be sincerely missed. As we bid her farewell in April 2024, we express our deepest appreciation for her years of service.

Amidst this transition, we are excited to announce that Courtney Smyser will be stepping into the role of President and CEO. Courtney is eager to begin this journey and is deeply committed to continuing the legacy of excellence established by Libby.

In her own words, Courtney expresses her enthusiasm for the role: "The opportunity to serve as President and CEO presents a unique chance to enhance the development of our local business community. I look forward to working closely with our members, fostering connections, forging partnerships, and advocating for policies that promote a positive business climate."

With over twenty years of experience in member-based association management, Courtney brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new role. She is dedicated to leveraging her skills to enhance the services provided by the Hilliard Area Chamber of Commerce, ensuring continued growth and prosperity for our community.

As we embark on this new chapter, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Libby for her remarkable leadership and dedication, and we warmly welcome Courtney as our new President and CEO. Together, we remain committed to supporting our local businesses and driving economic prosperity in our community.
